The Most Chaotic General Election

Amiga, Esq. and BERSIH had said it before, GE13 is going to be the dirtiest, darkest one, and she and BERSIH are right.  At 5pm, I logged into my facebook account, and overwhelmed by the posts about dirty tricks at polling station. A video showing some people actually caught a foreign labourer at the polling station, put him in a van, and trying to get him to spill the beans. Lots of posts about police counting the number of people at the polling stations, and making phone calls to we-do-not-know-who. This is disturbing. But this is the bravest election ever, as a lot of citizens, aunties, uncles, yes, the kind of senior citizens we do not expect them to want any trouble with police, actually confronted those weird police personnel. And lots of Malaysians actually have this 'VOTE OR DIE' mental. A woman who is hospitalized because she had cancer, actually had an ambulance carried her to the polling station.

The only bizarre part is, though I had seen a lot on internet, newspapers, I just do not feel this from the people around me. I do see a lot of people reading about GE13 from internet in cybercafe, but do not hear anyone talking about it, not at cybercafe, not at kopitiam, not at mamak's; and even though news is showing lots of people rushing home to cast votes, looking at the traffic flow in KL, I just do not feel it.

It is kind of bizarre, I know a lot of people are at the polling stations, but a little bit far away from them, then it is just a regualr Sunday in Klang Valley. Like when they are away from polling stations, and away from internet, people are completely detached from GE13.

For the first time in my life, I feel that casting ballot is a feel good thing. This is because lots and lots of Malaysians, who are either working or study abroad, are rushing home to vast their ballots on 5th May, 2013, Sunday. It had become the one and common goal for the entire Malaysia.

Why someone is saying they are Malaysians?

This youtube video,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgFv4k0YdK8

is something that happened in Taiwan, but someone left comments stating the couple are Malaysians.

Huh? Why is that? Like they are really not Taiwanese, but Malaysians go all the way to Taiwan to do this?

Weird. And it Mentioned Yuan Pei, why? The one who left the comment really know them? Or Taiwanese are so embarrassed that it had been spread so wide so quickly, so he/she just try to point the finger else where, so the attention will be shifted else where?

Anyone know the truth?

Occupying the Bus And Taxi Lane

See the yellow lines on the road? In Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, this means that is a "BAS DAN TEKSI SAHAJA" lane, which means the lane is for buses and taxi only.

But that 4-wheel drive just park right on the lane. And the bus had to get into the normal car lane just to get pass it.

This is something that happens everyday in Kuala Lumpur. No matter what kind of city planning you have, a total lack of enforcing, and a public with absolute no sense of their civic duty, this is what we get when we have bus lane on the road, it became the parking lane. Only in Malaysia.

Will the Malaysians be more civic minded after 5th of May? I sincerely hope so. Just like the Greek fable Pandora's box, hope is inside all of this, and that is what keeps us going.

Bombs and murders, all GE13 related?

For the past few days, we a number shootings were reported. And a few bombings at the political rallies. Are the shootings are bombing related?

Unlikely. The shootings were targeted at individuals, all them all killed on spot. The bombs were all placed at the political rallies.

But who were those victims of the gunshots? All men, but mostly small potatoes, maybe some of them got criminal records, did time in prison, but none of them were involved in high profile cases. The only important figure that was gunned down in the past week was the high ranking officer from custom. He was killed on his way to work, in his official car.

The bombs were clearly set to scare people. But the shootings all seemed unrelated. So is it safe to say that only the bombings are politically motivated? As 5th of May is approaching, it feels like the tension is heighten, like some desperate people are doing desperate things. We Malaysians really have to prepare to deal with those people.

What a circus! GE13 nomination day.

Yes, as expected, the GE13 nomination is a big circus.

A new record of 79 independents. Lots of party members, who are not fielded as candidates by their parties, defied their parties and nominated themselves; some had quit their parties before the nomination, some were expelled by their parties after the nomination.

Well, what do you expect? This time round, all the Malaysia people can talk about is GE13, and government rotation. Those who work overseas are campaigning for their fellow Malaysians to come back to vote. The opportunist and political frogs are not going to miss this once in a life time golden chance. I mean, this could be their ships. Only idiots and cowards are going to miss this.

As anti-corruption is missing from the manifestos from BN, and the opposition, let'say a prayer for Malaysia.

NOMINATION DAY TOMORROW, VOTE ON 5TH OF MAY

Tomorrow is 20th April, 2013, nomination day for GE13. Judging from the past experience, Malaysians are expecting circus shows when the candidates and their supporters show up for the nominations.

Any guess on what kinds of circus shows will be performed tomorrow?

Time to take a break from blogging.

Yes, GE13 is inevitably coming in April or May, we Malaysians have so much to talk about.

But I got into this weird situation, looking at all those commentators, columnists, politicians, from all camps, releasing all those nonsense, in fact, incomprehensive talks in newspapers, radios, tv's, online, how should I put this delicately? No, there is no way to put it delicately. It is gross.I need to block out all these toxic for now. So no internet, no radio, no tv, except newspaper for the date of GE13.

OMG! Even Star Hill is powerless to fight MRT

Haven't been to to Star Hill for quite sometime. On 9th Feb, 2013, went there to take some photos. I was shocked. The construction blockage of MRT is everywhere, choking the entire Star Hill area, like it is destroying all the small business in this area. Scary.

Lot 10 actually rented out the main entrance, now all shoppers must go through H&M to go into Lot 10, what is the rental for that?

Just photos from around and in Jusco Kepong

Corned Beef with 30% horse meat content from Japan. Hard to believe, but check the label. Available in non-halal section in all Jusco outlets.
(I missed read the label before, it actually did not list the percentage of horse meat content, just horse meat is one of the ingredients.)
Taken with a cheap model of Samsung phone.
This is the original label on the back of the can, in Japanese of course.

This is the translated into English label, for Malaysian market requirement. I tried to refocus all the 4 photos with computer, but as the original quality is really bad, due to the bad camera of the cheap phone. This is the best I can do.

RM13.90 for 100gram of 30% horse meat and supposedly beef kind of corned beef. Only Japanese could think of adding horse meat, right?
(I missed read the label before, it actually did not list the percentage of horse meat content, just horse meat is one of the ingredients.)

But then again, read what the people in US are doing to the burger patties, the all sort of offals, bones, chlorine based bleach treated body parts from carcasses of bovine, what lots more I-have-no-idea-what-they-are kind of things in them. Japanese is actually kind of honest, just kind of.
Radio station 988FM was doing somekind of singing promotion at the carpark just opposite Jusco Kepong.

It started from afternoon till night, so for a few nights on a row, those of us who live near Jusoc Kepong can hear the loud music and singing.

Crew from 988FM started to prepare the carpark for promotion around 4pm.

Klinik 1 Malaysia, just realised there is one near Jusco Kepong, or maybe, as I have not followed the sign to find out where the clinic is yet.

A little hard to believe, but is is true, just outside Jusco Kepong, the street lamps wee out for a few nights, and no repair was made.

Bottega Del Gelato, the label states it is an Australian product. Pictured is the mango flavour.

Money Changer moved about 2/3 year ago.

A few more photos

A major social campaign is happening in Malaysia:
Just read this from Yahoo! News Malaysia, Malaysians are posting on the Korean singer Psy's facebook wall, asking him not to come to perform at the BN Chinese New Year open house. Most of them just copy-and-paste the same message in English, but some had pasted the message in Korean too. Now, will BN understand the true meaning behind this?

Thursday, January 31, 2013

Just a few photos from Kepong.

At Jusco Kepong, taken with a really bad phone camera. the center court is set up for Chinese New Year goods fair.

This is corned-beef? It is really labelled to contained 30% horse meat; (I missed read it before, the label did not say specifically the percentage of the horse meat content); from Japan, in non-halal section in Jusco Kepong, Japanese corned-beef, where else can you get it but from a chain from Japan?

This way to 1Malaysia clinic, it is everywhere now, like 7-11.

Street lamps not working, just outside Jusco Kepong.
 Is that really Movenpick?
Just called BOTTEGA DEL GELATO, according to the label, this is an Australian product. The label looks authentic, but is this a new brand? Because I had not seen this brand while I was in Australia 20 years ago.

Taken late last year(2012), just before I read it on newspaper that we will only have 4G connection in Malaysia in 2013.

From Taiwan, available in Jusco. China is not the only place known for Shan-Zai(山寨, which means imitate or counterfeit industry in contemporary Mandarin), Taiwan is a good place too. This one is intimating a kind of Japanese chocolate, the original is available in Hokkaido only, for marketing purposes. And the manufacturer of the original was involved in food scandal a few years back, like they bought the expired Japanese red bean paste and repackaged them into new pastry, and sell as newly baked goods, something like that; anyway, I am not buying either the original, or the counterfeit, or the imitator, or the Snow brand line of products anymore.

Jan 23, 2013 at Kepong

Jaya Jusco (last month had finally changed the name on all the outlets to Aeon, but people are just used to call it Jusco), Metro Prima, Kepong branch has its Jusco Card day today. Like usual, doors open at 9am. I just noticied it as I go for grocery shopping, anyone can walk in, security do not check for member card to admit the customers. A few years back, only members who can show their Jusco member cards can take friend and families to go in. Since when they stopped checking the member card? Haven't been to the Jusco member day for about 2 years, no way to tell. And since Jusco had opened quite a few new stores in the past 2 years, the number of Jusco member days had increased to almost one every month of the year. And Jusco does not have any branch in Sabah and Sarawak yet.

The only word she can say clearly is 'LISTEN'

I had no idea what the fuss is about until I downloaded the 'LISTEN! LSITEN! LISTEN! LISTEN! LISTEN! LISTEN!' video from youtube.com.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CflYB49Z6fo

Actually about the only words I can hear clearly are a series of LISTEN's. And then that whoever-she-was woman who took the microphone from uni-girl and went on talking about kucings have problems too. That was all I could distingiush from the entire video, as it was full of echoes, and her accent is so, well, so in the style of local elites, that I have problem knowing what she was saying.

I had to read the comments posted under this video, and reports and comments on other websites, to understand what this video is all about. The only thing I am sure is, this is the standard of the local elites, all they can do in delivering their ideas is to force it down the people's throats, instead of convincing people with reasons. She got nothing, so she never answer anything the uni-girl had said or asked. She is a typical Malaysian elite.

Say, anyone out there can actually understand clearly the dialogue/monologue in this video? Someone made a transcript of it and put that online?

Jan 21, 2013:
I finally found the right video,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV2-IrTKt3o
and this one has better audio, and forced myself to listen through the 'speech' of the president of SW1M, Sharifah Zohra Jabeen , an excruciating experience as her Malanglish is spoken with a terrible accent. But then again, a lot of YB's and Cabinet ministers are on par with her when making public speakings. But that's kind of off topic here.

Back to this president of SW1M, it is so weird that she had no idea how to answer a single thing Miss Bawani had said and posed, all she ever did was multiple LISTEN's, and then telling people who are not happy with the government, i.e. how things are in Malaysia, to move to another country, at last she moved on to say everyone got problems, even cats got problems, fish got problems. Did she ever give any logical reasoning to whatever she said? None. And she is one of the social elites in Malaysia.

Checked Malaysiakini.com today, after hiding for a number of days after the 'forum' in UUM, she finally come out to tell her side of the story, "Was Bawani planted at UUM forum?"

Huh? That is it? Miss Bawani is a student of UUM, so she, like all who attended, was "encouraged" to attend this forum. So now you are saying this is some kind of plot against you? Or a plot to sabotage the forum? Then make sure you only let the 'right people' attend you forum, why did you not screen the attendant before hand? By the way, what is you idea of 'right people' for you forum?

It was a forum, in countries like UK, US, yes, English speaking countries, when you say a forum, people expect the attendants to have chance to ask questions, speak their opinions. But since the president of SW1M was speaking in Malanglish, I guess the word 'forum' has a totally different meaning in Malanglish.

Miss Bawani was only speaking her mind, and ask the very same questions a lot of her fellow Malaysians want to ask too. What was there to be afraid off? That the only thing to do is to leave Malaysia? You actually told her to do just that. And said that the chance to ask question is a privilege granted by you, as in Miss Bawani can only ask the questions to your liking, not what she wanted to ask. Wow! I have no idea you have so much power. Just what is SW1M anyway?

And the attendants must take oaths before the forum starts? What was that? Testifying in a court of law? Or some kind of pledging the allegiance ceremony? Allegiant to whom?

And why did you went into hiding after the forum? According to you, you received a lot of threats after the forum. I googled, and found a few facebook pages making fun of you, but did not get any result about threatening you. Maybe in your Malanglish, people making fun of you, ridiculing you for being rude, and compare all the problems in Malaysia to the problems of non-human lifeforms on Earth, you call those actions 'threats'.

"NOT A CHOICE BETWEEN COKE AND PEPSI"

OKAY, DEEPAK definitely penned the BLACK ROSE himself(OOPS, SHOULD HAVE CHECKED B4 I POST, HE HAD ANOTHER PC SAYING THE REAL DEAL IS YET TO COME)

Downloaded the BLACK ROSE, Deepak's book from Lulu.com, skimmed through it. Okay, I see why those news people are commenting online that Deepak should stick to his real job as a carpet merchant.

The content of the book is well, just badly written. It looks like Deepak needs to learn how to express himself in English properly, so his readers can actually read what he wanted to write, without pausing like at every single sentence, to rearrange the words, fixing the grammar, just to understand what he was writing about. And despite everything he already said publicly, the content of the book reads like some kind of poorly written fiction, without actually stating any hard, irrevocable facts. Yes, he showed us all those invoices, and money transfer receipts, and they are about the only readable pages of his book, the rest are just what-was-he-writing-about. I mean, after all those publicity he had put on for his book, the public really expected him to tell it all, instead of like he said this, but then he did not say this kind of story.

And just who did Deepak get to turn his book into pdf anyway? It was arranged in such a bizarre way, was it meant for reading on iPad? And why the handwritten page numbers? Deepak, you are a true blue Pakistani, should be able to get some Pakistani brain to help you with this particular job.

For those of you who wanted to read Deepak's BLACK ROSE for yourself,
1.) go to Lulu.com
2.) sign up as a member
3.) search for BLACK ROSE(free download) and add it to shopping cart
4.) then check out, if you do not buy anything else, the grand total will be zero, so no credit card number or PayPal number will be required, and no shipping or delivery will be needed, you can see this on the screen
5.) after checked out, look at the screen carefully, there is a DOWNLOAD button, click it, and the download will begin.

20:00 08 JAN, 2013, I should have checked Malaysiakini before I post this.
Just checked Malaysiakini.com, it turns out Deepak just had another press conference today, claiming that the BLACK ROSE available online is a counterfeit, released to discredit him. Deepak says he will hold 9 more press conferences in the 2 coming weeks, and he will be giving out his real BLACK ROSE to the news media in one of the coming press conferences.

It happened in real life too

Just got this from tv news, today, 7th Jan, 2013, a number of detainees escaped while they were being taken to court to face various charges. Injured 3 policemen escorting them in the process.

Thought this is something that can only happen in movie, now it happened in real life in Malaysia. To be honest, I am a little shocked.

The One Najib gave an audience to a Buddhism celebrity from Taiwan last year, but ....

It was old news already, that in November last year, a Buddhism celebrity from Taiwan visited Malaysia, and the One Najib gave him an audience, it was all over the news.

OK, so the GE13 is inevitably around the corner, and the One Najib needed a publicity stunt. So this celebrity from Taiwan serves the purpose of attracting the Malaysian Chinese voters. But there are other Buddhism celebrities out there, why not invite them all? Like Dalai Lama?

You think Dalai Lama can ever come to Malaysia? Like Malaysia would ever give him entry permit? or visa? Just think, the news of Dalai Lama visits Malaysia, that will put Malaysia in the spotlight of international news media. And suffer the wrath of China? To go into a rescue the diplomatic ties mood afterward? Get real.

Actually, Dalai Lama had been to Malaysia, just quietly. I got eyewitness saw him at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in March, 2011, a few days after the tusnami that hit Japan. He was sitting in a chair, with 2 male attendants and a female attendant, outside the Old Town just after the domestic check-in counters, on the corridors that lead to the transit area, so offically, Dalai Lama had passed through Malaysian custom, and set foot on Malaysian soil. But we never see anything like this in the news. And bizarrely, like no one in Malaysia got winds of this, no one at the airport showed any special interest or paid him any attention. So few people know who he is in Malaysia? or the news blockage is so good that even the fact that Dalai Lama was in Malaysia can be blocked? I prefer the second explaination.

This is Malaysia. But then again, can he openly visit Singapore, Thailand? Indonesia is out of question? What about Bali island? Chances are, he may have been to a few countries in South East Asia, just that the condition of his trips were never to publicize  his trips, so all the news about the trips never made it to the news.

To think China has no influence over Malaysia. This is Malaysia.
